How My YouTube Channel Audit Works and Why It Takes Two Meetings

Over the years of working with content and platforms (from launching my first channel in 2013 to working constantly with RHEI MCN partners since 2015) I have tried different formats of channel reviews. A full result comes not from a technical check of tags but from a deep rebuild of the media strategy.

A typical “audit as a PDF file” or a one-off 30-minute call mostly ends up gathering dust in the Downloads folder. The client gets a list of dry remarks like “change the thumbnail” or “improve Retention” but doesn’t understand how exactly to build these changes into their own reality.

To make a review bring real growth in views, engagement and sales, I built a system of two meetings and a week of analytics.

The Essence of the “Two Meetings” Format

1. First Meeting: Gathering Context and Point A (60 minutes)

The audit starts not with creative hypotheses but with immersion in your project. On the first call we go through in detail:

  • Current metrics and resources: what you do now, how much time and budget goes into production, whether you work alone or with a team.
  • Goals and positioning: whether you are launching a channel from scratch, want to break out of a views plateau or build a “YouTube - Website - Leads and Money” sales funnel.
  • Your role in the project: what you enjoy doing in the process and what burns you out. A strategy must be not just effective on paper but comfortable for you as an author.

2. A Week of Deep Analytics (Work on My Side)

After the meeting I go away to research your project. Over the week I study:

  • Algorithm metrics: retention drop-off points (Retention), click-through rate (CTR), traffic sources and audience behavior.
  • Content structure: hooks in the first seconds, pacing, storytelling, work with formats (Long-form and Shorts).
  • Search optimization and benchmarks: SEO, positioning against competitors in the niche and GEO/language specifics.

3. Second Meeting: Presentation and Strategy Calibration (60 minutes)

At the second meeting I don’t just hand over a report but present a ready 2-month roadmap. In a live dialogue we calibrate the plan to your real capabilities:

  • We fix priorities for the coming quarter.
  • We adjust tasks to your schedule, team and budget.
  • We form a clear understanding of every next step.

What You Get

After the two meetings you receive a full map of the project with quantified growth points and a step-by-step plan for 2 months.

After the audit you are completely free to choose:

  1. Carry out the plan yourself: you keep all the instructions and analytics.
  2. Continue working with me: if you decide that, in a support or joint production format, you will reach the result faster.

The Qualification Principle: 3 Outcomes After You Apply

I read every audit application personally and take no more than 4 projects a month. After reviewing your questionnaire there are three possible outcomes:

  • A free audit: if I see that the project fully matches my expertise and I can reliably deliver multiple growth.
  • A paid review / strategy development: if the tasks go beyond the standard format (for example, a complex brand launch from scratch for a foreign market).
  • Connecting RHEI services: if right now it is more relevant for you to solve infrastructure tasks (payout setup, protected monetization, Content ID, AdSense issues or access to the tools of the RHEI partner network).
